This was done with all kinds of yarn split into single threads. I used stitchery needles of several sizes. I drew the picture with skinny marker on muslin. It was a combination of crewel, embroidery and/or tapestry. It tool me several years, but I must admit I did not work on it all the time. It was designed by me. It was of my husband and I, in a magical life. I have it in my living room now. I have another one I am working on now on a blue-jean jacket. I will take a picture of it and blog it soon.
